A message from Tania Moloney

Dear Nature-Loving Reader,

The Accessible Versions of my book, Nature Ninja Saves the Natural World, provide rich and fully accessible reading experiences to children who are blind, low vision, deaf, hard-of-hearing, neurodiverse, and all children.

Right from the moment I put pen to paper for Nature Ninja, creating Accessible Versions was an integral part of my plan for self-publishing the book.  I believe that it’s important to embed inclusion and accessibility right from the beginning, not as an add on or an afterthought.

They're part and parcel to my mission that all children can see themselves represented in nature and in stories, and have regular and meaningful opportunities to enjoy nature experiences - and books - in ways that are most accessible for them.

So, everyone who purchases a print book directly from my website at www.nurtureinnature.com.au/books will be sent links to access the Accessible Versions for free.

Children who are not blind, low-vision, deaf, hard-of-hearing or neurodiverse will also really benefit from these Accessible Versions too.

Alongside the story text and narration, the rich audio descriptions of Jelena Sardi's gorgeous illustrations will ignite imaginations, encourage creative expression, support language development and enrich creative writing/storytelling practices for ALL children.

And with Sign Language helping tell the story, all children will see accessibility and inclusion naturally embedded into something they love – books and stories!

I also really hope the Accessible Versions inspire other authors and publishers to create Accessible Versions for their books too.

Here's to opening the door for many more books and nature experiences for all children to enjoy in ways that are most accessible for them.

See you outside!
