We've also had FDC providers, outdoor activity providers, nature and art therapists, social workers, home school parents, playgroup leaders, council education staff and many more join us who've loved the experience.
What really sets this weekend PD apart is the unhurried opportunity to connect and have quality time to share ideas, challenges and inspiration with like-minded people.

Meet the Presenters
The CAMPference team and presenters come from within our own networks and many have loved being CAMPference attendees in past years. Some have joined us EVERY year! This means they've experienced for themselves the wonderfully unique culture of shared beliefs, values and practices, and the nurturing environment that CAMPference is known for.
Through connection and deep conversations with other CAMPference attendees, they have a unique understanding of what they believe they can share from their practice and experience that could be helpful to others on this journey.
Before you meet our 2021 team, we'd like to share our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
At Nurture in Nature and through our CAMPference event, we aim to create an environment and programming where everyone feels a sense of belonging, can participate fully and feel valued for their contribution.
We value diverse voices and experiences and are committed growing a more diverse, equitable and inclusive organisation and community.
On honest reflection we acknowledge that our team of presenters this year (at this current time) doesn't reflect this very well at all.
We love them (they're amazing) but we'd also like to commit to doing much better in sharing more diverse voices and working to make sure that CAMPference is more accessible and inclusive.
We also recognise that we are able to do this work from a place of privilege and that we have a long way to go in our journey to better support those who may not have the access or voice of which privilege affords.
We commit to learning and growing so that through our thoughts and actions we can better support and share voices of those who have a broad range of backgrounds, abilities, experiences and stories.
We acknowledge that there are many wonderful people from diverse backgrounds and communities who are doing amazing and impactful work, but of whom we don't yet know about. So, if you know of someone who you think would love to share their story and experiences at CAMPference, please let us know because we'd really love to meet them. To get in contact: email@example.com or call 0409 843 965

The school has friendly goats and free ranging chickens and last year they introduced a bees program with the children. Jo is passionate about inclusive education and is proud to be part of a wonderful school and community who not only supports families with additional needs but that educates others of acceptance, tolerance and compassion. Jennie recently completed a Masters thesis research project that was titled: 'What are early childhood educators' pedagogical beliefs for including a Bush Kinder element to their program?’
Katie Jacobson is nature-loving, child-at-heart, who is happiest exploring creeks, jumping in muddy puddles, and sharing the wonders of nature with young and old alike. A proud mum to two young tree-climbers, Katie has spent 15years running environmental education and research programs across islands, deserts, country and coastal regions of Australia. After having her girls Katie returned to University to do her Masters in Early Childhood Teaching, and while juggling her studies and motherhood she (miraculously) managed to become an internationally-accredited Forest School Leader, Bush Playgroup Facilitator, 3yo Kindergarten Teacher and public speaker. With a passion for the benefits of nature play in whole child development; embracing and embedding Aboriginal perspectives; and reconnecting families and children back with nature, Katie can't wait to rejoin our CAMPference community again this year.
Pascale combines her extensive horticultural, linguistic and teaching experience, to pass on her skills and passion for gardening, love of nature, learning from different cultures, and sustainability to kids, adults, schools, playgroups and community groups. She's also a trained Forest School Leader and Bush Playgroup Facilitator. Her natural curiosity, fun energy and eagerness to share her knowledge and passion for nature connection is contagious. She’s also Mum to a great (and also very passionate) nature loving kid named Georgia who's sure to become one of our future environmental champions just like her Mum!

Linda Price, Early Childhood Teacher, Kinglake Ranges Children's Centre
Linda has been teaching and guiding young children at Kinglake Ranges Children’s Centre in rural Victoria since 2015. A Kiwi by birth and a naturally curious person, she teaches through enquiry-based and holistic play-based approaches to learning which are tailored to individual children’s interests and developmental needs, and based in neuroscience. Through the bush kinder program she developed in 2017 they have forged strong connections to country and the added feeling of belonging across their community. Along the way they have discovered that learning more about the Taungurung and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations would change their everyday practices and empower the children within their centre to drive reconciliation through passing on learning to their families. Their bush kinder program was recognised as an example of exemplary practice through being placed a finalist at the HESTA awards in 2019.

"What an inspired conference!!"
Thank you for being an enthusiastic voice for nature. Bringing a child in and hearing her perspective brought tears to my eyes.
ALYSE CHERRY Early Childhood Teacher, Melbourne, Australia
"Thank you so much for the opportunity."
This was definitely one of the most important PD's that I have done in my life because we were very active and not just sitting and listening. The day actually took me to my childhood and was thinking about children these days. I have already shared it with my team members at our educational leaders meeting and they loved the resources and ideas. I have started doing lots of things with our kinder children and at this stage I see myself as a researcher. Once again thank you so much to you and your team.
CHANU PERERA Kindergarten Teacher, Florence Collins Children's Services, Warrnambool, Australia
"At no time did I check my watch to see how long until it would end ... a real testimony to how engaging this PD was."
I really appreciated the sharing of ideas of where to start our journey and places that we can approach for grants and donations and I learnt lots of very valuable skills to take back to school! Today went so fast and at no time did I check my watch to see how long until it would end which is a real testimony to how engaging this PD was.
